RED CROSS APPRECIATION NIGHT
Area Hurricane Relief Workers to be Recognized During Nov. 5 Ceremony
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Grand Rapids Griffins, along with the Grand Rapids Press, are proud to announce Red Cross Appreciation Night, a special tribute to local volunteers involved in the relief effort for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
During the second intermission of the Saturday, Nov. 5 game versus Syracuse, a ceremony will be held to recognize the commitment and dedication of over 1,700 West Michigan residents who offered their time and resources to assist displaced victims.
Each volunteer will receive two complimentary tickets to the game and will be introduced to Griffins fans as a means of thanking them for their heroic actions.
Businesses and individuals can help sponsor this event with a minimum $100 contribution, which will provide for 10 complimentary tickets for volunteers to the Nov. 5 game and a $30 donation made on their behalf to the Red Cross of West Michigan.
