If you can't catch a Griffins game in person, there is no shortage of ways for you to keep up on the latest and greatest. A TV package on Comcast Local, web casts of every game, and an internet library of post-game interviews will keep you in the middle of the action.

Technology is a wonderful thing when it comes to our favorite major league sporting events. We can sit in our La-Z-Boys and comfortably watch games being played miles away on TV or even through our computers, and have access to behind-the-scenes news and features through the magic of the internet.

It's no different for Griffins fans.

For the second straight year, the Griffins and Comcast Local (ch. 23) have teamed up on a TV package that reaches 1.4 million homes in cities across lower Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing, Muskegon, Holland, Flint and Port Huron.

In addition to seven Griffins games, Comcast Local will air the AHL All-Star Skills Competition live from Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Jan. 31, and provide a next-day broadcast of the AHL All-Star Game that will air on Feb. 2.

The Griffins’ remaining television schedule is as follows:

Sat., Dec. 3 - Milwaukee Admirals at GRIFFINS - 8 p.m.
Fri., Dec. 16 - GRIFFINS at Rochester Americans - 7:30 p.m.
Sat., Dec. 31 - Chicago Wolves at GRIFFINS - 7 p.m.
Sat., Jan. 21 - Toronto Marlies at GRIFFINS - 7 p.m.
Tue., Jan. 31 - AHL All-Star Skills Competition - 7 p.m.
Thu., Feb. 2 - AHL All-Star Game (taped previous day) - 7 p.m.
Sat., Feb. 4 - Syracuse Crunch at GRIFFINS - 7 p.m.
Sun., March 12 - GRIFFINS at Chicago Wolves - TBA

The Griffins and Comcast Local will produce the games on Dec. 3, Dec. 31, Jan. 21 and Feb. 4, with Bob Kaser providing the play-by-play. For the remaining games, Comcast Local will air the opposing team’s feed. Telecasts of 2006 Calder Cup playoff games and additional regular season contests are also a possibility.

In conjunction with B2 Networks and the AHL, live video broadcasts of every Griffins game this season - and nearly every AHL game - are being offered through a link at griffinshockey.com.

Any fan worldwide with a high-speed internet connection can watch the action for just $6, while listening to Bob Kaser’s play-by-play.
