WINGS ASSIGN TWO, RECALL HEETER

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings have assigned forward Zach Nastasiuk and goaltender Eddie Pasquale to the Grand Rapids Griffins and recalled goaltender Cal Heeter from the Griffins.

Nastasiuk and Pasquale will join 20 other players on the Griffins’ roster for training camp, which is being held this week at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Grand Rapids will conclude camp with its lone preseason contest this Friday, Oct. 7, when the Griffins take on the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EDT at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

The Griffins will open the 2016-17 campaign at home against Chicago on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Chicago and battling the Wolves on Oct. 15.
