GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings have reassigned right wing Zach Nastasiuk and defenseman Richard Nedomlel from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Nastasiuk, 20, made his ECHL debut with the Walleye on Oct. 30 and has recorded one goal and one assist in five games with the team. Detroit’s second choice (48th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Nastasiuk has also appeared in one game with Grand Rapids this season. The Barrie, Ontario, native has played in a total of 12 regular season games for the Griffins since 2013-14, also tacking on one assist in 11 games between the 2014 and 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-2, 202-pound forward compiled 187 points (90-97—187), 107 PIM and a plus-six rating in 256 career games with the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack from 2011-15. Last season, he punctuated his junior career with career highs in goals (35), assists (42), points (77) and penalty minutes (34), while captaining the Attack to a 35-24-2-7 regular season record.

Nedomlel, 22, has picked up one assist and 14 PIM in eight games with Toledo this season. Detroit's eighth choice (175th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Nedomlel spent his second professional season with Toledo in 2014-15 and registered 14 points (3-11—14), 56 PIM and a plus-six rating in 49 regular season games. The 6-foot-5, 228-pound blueliner also tallied two assists and 10 PIM in 12 games during the 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs, helping the Walleye advance to the Eastern Conference Finals against the South Carolina Stingrays.

Nedomlel has appeared in three career AHL games, all with the Griffins during the 2013-14 campaign.

The Griffins will square off against the Iowa Wild on Wednesday at Van Andel Arena at 7 p.m.
