GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Friday agreed to terms on a two-year contract with free agent forward Matt Lorito and to a pair of one-year deals with forward Ben Street and goaltender Edward Pasquale.

Lorito, 25, completed his first full professional season in 2015-16 with the AHL’s Albany Devils. In 71 games, the 5-foot-9, 170-pound winger led the team in points (18-36—54) and assists (36) while helping the Devils achieve the third-best record in the AHL (46-20-8-2). He also contributed seven points (3-4—7) in 11 Calder Cup Playoff contests. Among AHL rookies, Lorito ranked sixth in points, tied for fourth in assists, tied for third in power play assists (19) and third in power play points (24).

Lorito, a native of Oakville, Ontario, joined the Devils for 11 games at the end of the 2014-15 season after wrapping up a four-year collegiate career at Brown University (ECAC). In 118 games played, he totaled 106 points (47-59—106) with the Bears. As a sophomore in 2012-13, he led the team in goals (22) and points (22-15—37) while being named an All-Ivy League First Team selection. Serving as captain his senior season in 2014-15, Lorito tied for the team lead with 23 points (11-12—23) in 29 games and was named to the All-Ivy League Second Team.

The 29-year-old Street has appeared in 293 career AHL games and 29 NHL contests. During the 2015-16 season, he compiled 21 points (7-14—21) in 15 games while serving as captain of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage and logged a seven-game stint with the Colorado Avalanche.

Over the course of his six-year professional career, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound center has played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (2010-12), Abbotsford Heat (2012-13), Lake Erie Monsters (2014-15) and Rampage (2015-16). In total, he has accumulated 237 points (98-139—237) in 293 games. While with Abbotsford in 2013-14, the Coquitlam, British Columbia, native was selected to the AHL All-Star Game after logging 60 points (28-32--60) in 58 games. In 29 NHL games between Calgary (2012-14) and Colorado (2014-16), he has contributed two points (0-2—2).

As a member of the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers in 2010-11, Street was named the league’s Rookie of the Year after scoring 51 points (24-27—51) in 38 games.

Prior to his professional career, Street played for the Wisconsin Badgers (WCHA) from 2005-10. Over the course of his career, he scored 93 points (48-45—93) in 171 games and helped the Badgers capture the 2006 NCAA Championship.

Pasquale, 25, split the 2015-16 season between St. John’s (AHL) and Brampton (ECHL). In 30 games with the AHL’s IceCaps, the Toronto, native compiled a 13-10-3 record, a 2.62 goals against average, and a 0.919 save percentage.

Originally drafted in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers, Pasquale has appeared in 166 AHL games between the Chicago Wolves (2010-11) and IceCaps (2011-16). The 6-foot-3, 210-pound netminder’s AHL line shows a 79-69-10 record, a 2.63 GAA, a 0.912 save percentage and 10 shutouts. Pasquale was also named to the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2011-12.

Prior to turning professional, Pasquale played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Belleville Bulls (2006-08) and Saginaw Spirit (2007-10). Between the two clubs combined he owned a 75-48-13 record to go along with a 3.11 GAA and a 0.911 save percentage.

The Griffins will begin the home portion of their 2016-17 season with Opening Night presented by Huntington Bank on Friday, Oct. 14 at Van Andel Arena. Additional home dates confirmed by the American Hockey League include Dec. 31, Jan. 7, Jan. 21, Feb. 4 and Feb. 25.
