RED WINGS ASSIGN NASTASIUK
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday assigned forward Zach Nastasiuk to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Detroit’s second choice (48th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Nastasiuk joins 21 other players at Griffins training camp being held this week at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Grand Rapids will conclude camp with its lone preseason contest this Friday, Oct. 7, when the Griffins take on the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EDT at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
The Griffins will open the 2016-17 campaign at home against Chicago on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Chicago and battling the Wolves on Oct. 15.
