GRIFF'S ICEHOUSE WEST GRAND REOPENING TO BE HELD OCT. 29

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids Griffins fans and the West Michigan community are invited to attend the grand reopening of Griff’s IceHouse West, located at 4444 Holland Ave. in Holland, on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Those attending will have the chance to watch the defending Calder Cup champion Griffins practice from 3:50-4:25 p.m. on the red rink and then receive autographs from their favorite players and coaches from 5-5:30 p.m.

A public open skate is scheduled from 4-5:30 p.m. on the arena’s blue rink.

Throughout the two-hour open house, the Calder Cup, Griff and Finn will be available for photo opportunities, free hot dogs, popcorn and soda will be available (while supplies last), and guests can win Griffins prizes by playing hockey-themed contests.

Formerly known as Edge Ice Arena, Griff’s IceHouse West was purchased by Griffins owner Dan DeVos in October 2016 and will be managed by DP Fox Sports & Entertainment, which continues to oversee Griff’s IceHouse at Belknap Park (30 Coldbrook NE), the official practice home of the Griffins.
