GRIFFINS LAUNCH NEW "UPGRADES" PORTION OF MOBILE APP
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday announced the new “Upgrades” portion of their Griffins app, which will allow fans to enhance their Griffins experience by purchasing on-ice activities, ticket improvements and other exclusive opportunities.
Fans looking to enhance their Griffins experience can do so by downloading the Griffins app, which is available on both iPhone and Android. From the main interface, fans can choose the “Upgrades” section and enter their contact information to gain access to the available opportunities. Throughout the season, fans will be notified via text message notification when special Griffins experiences become available, including:
• Bench visits
• Zamboni rides
• Watching warm-ups from the penalty box
• Sounding the Huntington Horn
• Countdown Kid of the Game
• Participating in high-five alley
• Participating in intermission activities, including on-ice contests
• Taking a post-game photo on the ice.
Experience upgrades will typically open five days prior to a home game, with the exception of ticket upgrades, which will become available on the day of a game. Ticket upgrades will allow fans to move their seats from the upper bowl to lower level center ice or lower level preferred seats.
Both experience and ticket upgrades will debut this week and can be purchased for the Griffins’ home game against the Lake Erie Monsters on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. Prices and availability for each experience upgrade vary.
