GRIFFINS' FRONT OFFICE RECEIVES SOCIAL MEDIA AND TICKET AWARDS FROM AHL

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins’ front office earned several honors from the American Hockey League during recent league meetings in Phoenix.

The Griffins were recognized during the league’s marketing meeting for the “unique social media promotion” for their utilization of Snapchat Spectacles. When the spectacles are worn, the user is able to present a “through the eyes of” perspective for the viewer. The glasses provided opportunities to showcase different game elements and special events this season, including being worn by Martin Frk during a morning skate, Eric Tangradi during the team’s travel to Syracuse in the Calder Cup Finals, and throughout home regular season and playoff games from a fan’s viewpoint.

A Team Achievement certificate was also presented to Grand Rapids for reaching an average of 1,750 group tickets per game, marking the third straight year that accomplishment has been realized.

Griffins’ staffers who claimed Personal Achievement Awards include season ticket sales account executive Peter Van Dame, who ranked first in the AHL’s Western Conference in new FSE sales for the second consecutive season, and group sales account manager Zack Krywyj, who placed third in group sales in the Western Conference for the second year in a row.
