GRIFFINS AND MOS HOST WISH LIST DRIVE THIS SATURDAY TO BENEFIT KIDS' FOOD BASKET
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins, in partnership with Michigan Office Solutions (MOS) and Meijer, will hold a Wish List Drive this Saturday, April 8, prior to the 7 p.m. contest against Cleveland, that will benefit Kids’ Food Basket in West Michigan.
Fans are encouraged to bring these wish-list items to the Fulton Street plaza in front of Van Andel Arena from 5-7 p.m. (note that these are the only items that will be accepted):
- Fruit or applesauce cups/pouches
- Granola bars
- Cracker packs
- Snack-size zipper bags
- Toasted oat cereal
- Cheese crackers
- Pretzel twists
For $5 apiece, fans can also purchase Meijer-brand cereal boxes on site to donate. Any fan who brings a food item from the list above or purchases a box of cereal on site will receive a coupon for a small Pepsi, redeemable at the arena’s concession stands during the game that night.
All items collected during the evening will be loaded onto an MOS truck as they are donated and will then be given to Kids’ Food Basket.

Kids’ Food Basket serves nearly 7,500 kids at 42 schools in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland. More than 240 volunteers each day help prepare, pack and deliver sack suppers, a well-rounded evening meal that provides nutrition critical to the development of the brain and body.
“A core philosophy of the Griffins organization is being a positive force in our community,” said the team’s vice president of corporate sales, Sean Wright. “Given the need Kids’ Food Basket has, we’re thankful that we have the opportunity to join with MOS, Meijer and our fans to help out our youth in West Michigan.”
