GONE FISHIN'

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Monday reassigned defenseman Richard Nedomlel from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.

Detroit's 8th choice, 175th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Nedomlel spent his second professional season with Toledo in 2014-15 and registered 14 points (3-11—14), 56 penalty minutes and a plus-six rating in 49 regular season games. The 6-foot-5, 228-pound blueliner also tallied two assists and 10 PIM in 12 games during the 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs, helping the Walleye advance to the Eastern Conference Finals against the South Carolina Stingrays. Nedomlel, 22, has appeared in three career AHL games, all with the Griffins during the 2013-14 campaign.

After dropping both games during their California road trip last weekend, the Griffins will look to change their fortunes at Van Andel Arena this weekend, when the team kicks off the home portion of its schedule with back-to-back games against the San Antonio Rampage on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Fans can secure their full-season, select-season or group ticket packages by calling (616) 774-4585 ext. 2. Single-game tickets for all home games are now available for purchase at all Star Tickets locations, including The Zone, online through griffinshockey.com, or by phone through Star Tickets at (800) 585-3737.
