GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Sunday assigned goaltender Jared Coreau to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

A native of Perth, Ontario, Coreau started all 19 contests of Grand Rapids’ run to the Calder Cup last spring, tallying a 2.84 GAA, a 0.909 save percentage and a 15-4 record. In 146 career regular season AHL games all with Grand Rapids since 2013-14, Coreau has an 84-48-10 record to go with a 2.42 GAA and a 0.919 save percentage and 13 shutouts.
