The Griffins, two days removed from their thrilling Game 7 win over Manitoba, fall 4-0 in the opening contest of the Western Conference Finals to Milwaukee, which had enjoyed nine days of rest after sweeping Houston. The Admirals break open a scoreless game with four goals in the third period, the most ever allowed by the Griffins in a home period during the playoffs. Pekka Rinne shuts out Grand Rapids with 36 saves.
