Darren Haydar and Francis Pare score third-period goals in a span of 1:41 to pace Grand Rapids to a 3-2 comeback win at Lake Erie, kicking off the Griffins’ franchise-record eight-game road trip. Pare’s 22nd goal of the campaign ties him with teammate Justin Abdelkader for the Griffins’ all-time record for goals by a rookie.

Playing in just his second pro game, rookie forward Tim Skarperud nets a natural hat trick to lead the Griffins to a 4-3 overtime win at Milwaukee. It marks the 12th straight series road game that Grand Rapids earns at least a point.
