Behind a pair of goals by Dan Renouf, the Griffins put a blemish on Syracuse’s perfect 10-0 home record and move within one win of claiming the Calder Cup with a 3-2 victory in Game 4 of the finals. Jared Coreau turns aside 31 shots to hand the Crunch their first regulation loss at the War Memorial since March 24. Eric Tangradi’s 17th assist sets a franchise record for a single playoff year, breaking the mark of 16 set by Jiri Hudler in 2006. (Photos)

The Red Wings name Jeff Blashill the 27th head coach in franchise history, marking the fourth Griffins head coach in 19 seasons to earn a promotion to the NHL and the first to become the bench boss for Detroit. Blashill finishes his three-year tenure in Grand Rapids with numerous accolades, including AHL Coach of the Year (2014), two Midwest Division titles (2013 and 2015), a Western Conference title (2013) and, most prolifically, a Calder Cup (2013).
