Down 0-3 in the series, Syracuse lifts itself off the mat and extends the Calder Cup Finals with a 3-2 victory over the Griffins. Grand Rapids holds a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes, but second-period tallies by Ondrej Palat and Richard Panik force a Game 5. The sellout crowd of 10,834 is the largest in the Griffins’ AHL playoff history and ties the record attendance from their second postseason game ever, an IHL Turner Cup Playoff contest on April 26, 1997.
