The Griffins finish the year 6-0 versus the Crunch, their best single-season mark ever against one opponent. Donald MacLean’s five-point night is highlighted by his franchise-record fifth hat trick of the season, as his total of 56 goals ties for eighth in AHL history.

Martin Prusek, Simon Lajeunesse and Mathieu Chouinard receive the AHL's Harry "Hap" Holmes Memorial Award, presented annually to the goaltender(s) appearing in at least 25 games for the team that allows the fewest goals during the regular season. Grand Rapids, which surrendered the second-fewest goals (178) in AHL history, becomes the first team to ever split the award between three goaltenders.
