Tony Voce scores his second goal 4:20 into overtime to give the Griffins a 4-3 win over Manitoba and a 3-2 lead in the North Division Semifinals. The Moose’s Drew MacIntyre denies 20 of Grand Rapids’ playoff-record 21 shots during the third period, but Eric Himelfarb scores with 49 ticks left in regulation with the Griffins’ net empty to force the extra session. Following Jimmy Howard’s unexpected afternoon recall to the Red Wings, Drew MacIntyre steps between the Griffins’ pipes and delivers a 33-save, first-star performance in a 3-2 victory over Toronto in Game 4 of the North Division Semifinals at the Air Canada Centre. The Griffins win a home playoff game for the first time ever and Jani Hurme earns the team’s first playoff shutout with 19 saves in a 2-0 win over Cleveland, evening the IHL Eastern Conference Semifinals at 1-1.
