GRIFFINS ANNOUNCE TV SCHEDULE

First Telecast This Sunday From Toronto

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.
The Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday announced their 2005-06 television schedule on Comcast Local.

Seven Griffins games will be televised live on Comcast Local channel 23 in West Michigan, starting with Grand Rapids visit to Toronto this Sunday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.. The telecasts will also be available in 1.4 million homes in Comcast Local markets across lower Michigan that include nine of the states 10 largest cities, most notably Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing, Muskegon, Holland, Flint and Port Huron.

In addition, Comcast Local will air the AHL All-Star Skills Competition live from Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Jan. 31, and provide a next-day broadcast of the AHL All-Star Game that will air on Feb. 2.

The Griffins current television schedule is as follows:

Sun., Nov. 20 - GRIFFINS at Toronto Marlies - 5 p.m.
Sat., Dec. 3 - Milwaukee Admirals at GRIFFINS - 8 p.m.
Fri., Dec. 16 - GRIFFINS at Rochester Americans -7:30 p.m.
Sat., Dec. 31 - Chicago Wolves at GRIFFINS -7 p.m.
Sat., Jan. 21 - Toronto Marlies at GRIFFINS - 7 p.m.
Tue., Jan. 31 - AHL All-Star Skills Competition - 7 p.m.
Thu., Feb. 2 - AHL All-Star Game (taped previous day) - 7 p.m.
Sat., Feb. 4 - Syracuse Crunch at GRIFFINS - 7 p.m.
Sun., March 12 - GRIFFINS at Chicago Wolves - TBA

The Griffins and Comcast Local will produce the games on Dec. 3, Dec. 31, Jan. 21 and Feb. 4, with Bob Kaser providing the play-by-play. For the remaining games, Comcast Local will air the opposing teams feed. Telecasts of 2006 Calder Cup playoff games and additional regular season contests are also a possibility.

Were excited once again for the opportunity to showcase our Griffins stars and Detroit Red Wings prospects, as well as the top players in the American Hockey League, to hockey fans throughout Michigan.

The channel is available, at no additional cost, exclusively to Comcast cable customers. In addition to the Griffins, Comcasts sports properties include Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame basketball and hockey, as well as Western Michigan football, basketball, hockey and baseball.
