Season ticket holders, go no further! From important dates to a creative tip for distributing Griffins tickets to your ever-deserving colleagues and underlings, we present some key information regarding your 2006-07 Griffins season ticket package.
With the hockey season facing-off next month, it’s crunch time for the Griffins ticket operation department, as the staff is working hard to get those precious ducats into your hands.
While you anxiously await their arrival, here are a few important dates to be aware of:
The exclusive presale of single-game tickets to season ticket holders will be held Thursday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept. 22 at The Zone inside Van Andel Arena. Holders will be able to redeem flex tickets and purchase additional single-game tickets.
Full season tickets will be sent out during the third and fourth weeks of September, while Mini packages will be mailed during the weeks of Sept. 11 and 18.
Single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. at all Star Ticket Plus outlets and online. Fans can also go to The Zone or call (800) 585-3737.
Did we mention that all ticket prices will remain the same for the upcoming season! That’s right, the hottest ticket in town, your personal invitation to bone crushing, high-speed AHL action, is the same price as last year.
Looking for a fun and easy way to share the joy of Griffins hockey and distribute season tickets you can't use? Here is a tip from Mitch Watt, vice president/managing principal at the Grand Rapids URS Corporation:
Mitch keeps his company's season tickets right on his desk, near his laptop, and pays close attention to the Griffins' schedule (as everyone should). When he is not using his tickets to a particular game or offering them to customers and clients, he sends a mass e-mail to all employees within company headquarters. The e-mail simply offers the tickets to the third, 11th, 37th, 102nd - pick a random number - person to reply to his message, just like radio station giveaways. The lucky winner then has to come to Mitch's office to pick up the tickets, giving him the opportunity to chat and get to know his co-worker a little better.
Great idea, Mitch. Thanks!
