523 – Svechnikov scored the Griffins’ first goal of the season 3:48 in to their 8-5 victory at Chicago on Oct. 5. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound winger tacked on two assists for a three-point night in what was his first AHL appearance since Game 5 of the 2018 Central Division Semifinals against Manitoba, a span of 523 days. Svechnikov suffered a knee injury during the Red Wings’ final preseason game in September 2018 and missed the entire 2018-19 season. He skated in 51 of Grand Rapids’ 63 games in 2019-20, but five of those were missed due to being on recall.
2 – He netted a pair of two-goal games this season and has now totaled five multi-goal outings in his AHL career. Svechnikov was responsible for both of Grand Rapids’ goals in a 5-2 loss at Rockford on Nov. 16 and had two power-play goals in a 4-3 overtime defeat vs. Texas on Feb. 8.
4 – The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia native lit the lamp five times during a career-high four-game goal streak from Feb. 8-14. His previous best was recording goals in back-to-back games on three separate occasions. He also tallied an assist on Feb. 18 to make it a season-high five-game point streak. Svechnikov’s four-game goal run tied Eric Tangradi (Dec. 17-Jan. 5) as the longest on the roster this season.
4 – Svechnikov averaged 8:20 of ice time in four appearances with the Red Wings. He made his NHL season debut on Oct. 22 vs. Vancouver and played in three more games from Oct. 23-27.
11 – The 23-year-old was one of six Griffins to accumulate 10 or more goals and tied Joe Veleno for third with 11. Svechnikov’s six power play goals equaled Matt Puempel for second on the roster and he enjoyed a three-game power-play goal streak from Feb. 8-11.
13 – Svechnikov was one of 13 players to suit up for both the Griffins and Red Wings in 2019-20. Including Svechnikov, who was selected 19th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by Detroit, all six of the Red Wings’ recent first-round draft picks played for Grand Rapids at different points this season.
19 – On Feb. 8 vs. Texas, Svechnikov recorded two power-play goals 4:16 apart in the second period to equal a franchise record for most PPG in a single frame. It marked the 19th different instance of a Griffin scoring two on the man-advantage in one period and prior to Svechnikov, the last person to accomplish the feat was Filip Hronek on Feb. 6, 2019 vs. Manitoba.
61 – Svechnikov ranked third on the club with 61 penalty minutes, which was just one shy of matching his career high of 62 he set as a rookie in 2016-17.
99 – Svechnikov made his Griffins and AHL debut in Game 5 of the 2016 Central Division Finals against Lake Erie and has gone on to produce 99 points (38-61—99) in 182 regular season games.
