In his rookie campaign, center Gregor MacLeod tallied six points in 22 games for Grand Rapids and 19 points in 16 contests for the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.

1 – In an inevitable season of firsts for the rookie, MacLeod made his pro debut during an 8-5 season-opening win at Chicago on Oct. 5. He logged his first pro point while assisting on Ryan Kuffner’s second-period goal against Milwaukee on Oct. 23 in his third AHL outing. MacLeod banked his first goal two games later on Oct. 26 vs. Texas. His initial goal started an avalanche of four consecutive the Griffins scored on Oct. 26 to close the game and win 6-4.

1.19 – MacLeod averaged 1.19 points/game with Toledo, ranking second on the roster behind only Josh Kestner’s 1.26. On April 10, Kestner became the first Walleye player to be named the ECHL MVP. Among ECHL players with more than 10 games played, MacLeod tied for 11th in points per game.

2 – The 6-foot, 175-pound forward bagged goals in back-to-back contests with Grand Rapids on Oct. 26-30.

6 – The Griffins posted a 5-0-1-0 record in the games MacLeod registered on the scoresheet.

7 – One of 14 rookies to suit up for the Griffins, MacLeod placed seventh in scoring and ninth in games played.

9 – The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, native went on a season-high six-game point streak with the Walleye from Feb. 9-21, totaling nine points (4-5—9).

16 – Assigned to Toledo on Feb. 4, MacLeod played in 16 games with the Walleye from Feb. 7-March 8 before being recalled on March 9. MacLeod picked up points in 10 of 16 outings, including five times posting multi-point contests. He scored two goals in his third ECHL game on Feb. 9 vs. Cincinnati and amassed four points behind two goals and two assists on Feb. 28 vs. Fort Wayne.

30.0% – MacLeod scored nine goals on 30 shots, good for an ECHL-leading 30.0 shooting percentage. The nearest player to him was teammate Tyler Spezia, who stood at 23.8%.
