Rookie left wing Filip Zadina produced 35 points (16-19—35) in 59 games with the Griffins and picked up three points (1-2—3) in nine games during his NHL debut with the Red Wings.

:08 – Zadina scored eight seconds into overtime on Feb. 16 to complete Grand Rapids’ comeback from two goals down late in the third period and defeat the San Antonio Rampage 3-2. Eight seconds marked the fastest overtime goal in franchise history. Landon Ferraro had held the regular season mark at 18 seconds (3/13/13 vs. Chicago) while Tyler Bertuzzi owns the playoff record at 13 seconds (5/14/15 at Rockford).

2 – Zadina helped the Czech Republic advance to the quarterfinals at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship, the second consecutive year he represented his country at the tournament.

4 – He registered four multi-goal games to tie veterans Chris Terry and Matt Puempel for the most on the team. Zadina added another multi-goal game in the Calder Cup Playoffs, recording his first two postseason tallies as part of a three-point game during Game 3 vs. Chicago.

6 – The sixth overall selection in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by Detroit, Zadina was the highest Red Wings draft pick to ever suit up for the Griffins. Only three players in Griffins history were drafted higher than No. 6: Jason Spezza (No. 2 by Ottawa in 2001), Darrin Shannon (No. 4 by Pittsburgh in 1988) and Stephen Weiss (No. 4 by Florida in 2001). Dylan Larkin (selected 15th overall in the 2014 Draft) was the previous highest Red Wings draft selection to play for Grand Rapids.

7 – During a season-high seven-game point streak from Feb. 6-22, Zadina collected nine points (4-5—9). Within the seven-game point streak, he also notched a four-game goal streak from Feb. 9-16, which was the longest by a Griffin this season.

19 – Zadina’s 35 points tied for 19th on the Griffins’ single-season rookie scoring list. He lit the lamp 16 times, which tied for 15th among AHL rookies.

176 – Zadina became the 176th Griffins alumnus to play in the NHL when he made his Red Wings debut on Feb. 24 vs. San Jose. Zadina picked up his first goal on March 5 at Colorado and his first assist on March 9 at Tampa Bay.
