Soderblom, a 6-foot-8-inch forward, has two goals and six penalty minutes in 13 games with the Red Wings this season.
The Griffins travel to Springfield for the first-ever meeting against the Thunderbirds tonight at 7:05 p.m at the MassMutual Center.
