The ninth overall selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by Detroit, Rasmussen has tallied 13 points in 41 games during his rookie campaign with the Red Wings.
The Central Division-leading Griffins will resume play after the all-star break by heading to Texas to play the fifth-place Stars and the sixth-place Rampage.
