Celebrate Hispanic Heritage
Join the Grand Rapids Griffins for its first-ever Hispanic Heritage Night game at Van Andel Arena, as we celebrate the rich culture of Griffins fans across Hispanic communities. The night will celebrate Hispanic influence through music, dance, art, and an exciting night of Griffins hockey as they take on the Cleveland Monsters at 7:00 p.m.
Presented by Consumers Energy, the Hispanic Heritage Night game will feature:
- "Los Griffins" t-shirt giveaway to the first 2,000 fans
- Music from DJ Money Mike throughout the game
- Art by Arturo Morales Romero displayed on the concourse
- Dance performances by Ballet Folklorico de GR

The Griffins will wear specialty jerseys to commemorate the night, which will be Hispanic Heritage-themed and was created by Griffins Digital Media Manager Nicolas Carrillo, who is originally from Quito, Ecuador. The jersey features several unique design elements that illustrate the history, culture, and more of Hispanic Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
The jerseys will be auctioned off to fans both during and following the game, with proceeds from the auction benefiting Michigan Power Futbol Academy.
